comment please if you can….:-)
Dear visitors,
As this is a new site, I would appreciate any comment you can make about embryo video tutorial platform for Apple Motion 3. I am putting a lot of effort and time to bring you all video tutorials for Apple Motion 3. This web site is at the beginning stage of development and I personally would like to see this web site grow. So I am not asking for much, except, for all of you to post a comment about what would you want me to cover, and what would you want me to do to improve this site so that it can serve all of us.
We are doing our best to make this site your number one….
Embryo Team.
I’d actually really like to see a solid comparison between Motion 3 and After Effects. I think After Effects is generally considered to be the more powerful application, but what are the pro’s and con’s of each?
I’m a huge fan of Final Cut Studio, and Motion specifically. And I’m hesitant to put in the same time and effort into carving out a workflow with Adobe’s apps, when I’ve already invested so much into Apple’s.
I realize that’s not really what you asked for. Sorry about that. I can try and come up with some Motion-specific if that doesn’t fly.
Alright?. Great job with the tut’s ..Motion 3 is amazing and i love the videos I WANT MORE!!!! – i work for Apple Inc and im studying Motion 3 …so this is like extra lessons! – keep up the great work – nice site! —and good JOB!. all the best .Jay
Well here is the thing Jason. After Effects have been around for a long time. Even I will agree that After Effects is a great application, however I also believe that Motion is not explored at all. Ask yourself a question, how many websites and people do you know who write tutorials for Motion or even use Apple Motion seriously. The whole integration between Apple Motion and Final Cut Pro or DVD Studio Pro is only touched upon.
I will try my best to teach people what I know, I will endeavour to make visually interesting animations and projects to try to demystify Apple Final Cut Studio workflow.I will do my best to show people how serious Apple Motion as a animation and compositing tool is.
Thanks Apple Man.
I will be making few new tutorials in the next week or so. Hopefully the tutorials will help those wiling to learn Motion. Even as extra classes…..:-)
mORE MOTION 3 TUTORIALS PLEASE,GREAT WORK! lOVE THE SITE DESIGN TOO.
Many thanks, I will pass on the compliments about the site design to Prisca.
This site is awesome, and since i don’t have any more money to spend on After effects, this site is fantastic. you do a great job with the tutorials and i would like to see a little bit more typography and motion graphics (like what you see on on youtube for after effects) and some more 3d stuff.
i think you could improve the website though. it runs really slow.
keep up the good work.
Zak, your work on providing Motion tutorials is great. I’ve passed the link to a bunch of friends. Your five star lessons are becoming a fantastic source. I appreciate your thoroughness in explaining every step. C’mon, man, you’ve even provided us with the project files so we can follow to the last detail! Also to praise is your focus on our own creativity.
Now I’m checking your website every week.
Hey Zak, great tutes. Loved the flourish tutorial. At the end of it you mentioned you’re going to do a paint tutorial.. but I couldn’t locate it on the site anywhere.. also looking forward to your 3d text tutorial.. also for your information – at the end of the flourish 2 video tutorial, the sound disappears.. not imp. as you can figure out what’s going on but still…
As far as the site design is concerned – it’s good but i’m thinking whether you can provide a tutorials page which just has quick links to each of the motion tutorials, so I don’t have to navigate through a lot of text just to get to a tutorial..
Thanks and keep up the excellent work. Cheers!
Thanks for the comments. I am aware of the problem with the flourishes tutorials, however I am sure you were able to see what is going on (the sound is there but the volume is very, very low). I had lots of problems with sound at the beginning, I think that those days are over as I purchased better mic. This is new site so please be patient as we will try to fix things as we go along…
I will try to post last two video tutorials (never fear, embryo minimal) in the next few days.
I just came across the site. Looks great. Unfortunately I don’t have Motion 3, but i have bookmarked your site for when my company upgrades.
If your company have After Effects you could potentially use the same techniques and reproduce this in After Effects, the apps are very similar.
Many thanks for your comments, I look forward seeing you here again….
happy i found this site, keep the tuts coming please !
Thanks Derek, I am pleased you approve of what we do. Come back soon…..
Zak,
I don’t know where to start.
I am so overwhelmed with excitement of finding your website. I have been looking for tutorials exactly like this for a long time. These tutorials are such a WEALTH OF INFORMATION. But not only that, they teach you about the CREATIVE side. I watched only one so far ( creating embryo animation [apple motion 3] #2 ) and I LEARNED SO MUCH about creative things you have my mind thinking in a whole new light! I cannot thank you enough for contributing you time, effort and creativeness. Your website will be in my bookmark bar and visited very often! I love the way you teach, your dialect and the words you use. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you
Many thanks Marco.
I am glad you approve of what I do. I am trying to make people believe that they can create some good animations by using Apple Motion. I am very excited about the software which is in large unexplored, therefore people do not take Apple Motion seriously as a compositing tool at all. I simply want to change this.
I look forward seeing you on my site soon.
I was under pressure for saturday to monday_March1-3rd, 08.
Client wanted a slide show and and graphics done. I the
picture arrangement in 3d which took alot of time.
They then said that they would prefer a slide
show….
They then needed graphics for a schedule board to
look
like a cricket score board. Then they wanted the
cricket logo they sent rotating… thanks to your
‘neverfear’ tutorial, I was able to give em a 3d
looking logo with my 2d program. The one problem I had
was a jump that the logo made at its bottom… but I masked that out with blurs and stuff… Thanks
again……
I had to do alot more stuff but thats how it is………
The 1440 x 900 link is great! Thank you for the choice of seeing the tutorials in a larger window.
You can download it also if you want. The choice is yours, I always felt having choice is good.
Hi!
Just wanted to cheer you on – great work with the tutorials!
Johan
Thanks Man. I am doing what I can to show you few things.
Love the site. Looking forward to more completed tutorials. Motion addicts like myself need our fix!
So do I. I was on a holiday for two weeks, I have done nothing while on holiday.
I love the textures and colors used in your tutorials. They are very easy to follow too. My question was if you could cover combining 3d object motion and video together. It seems popular these days with commercials and music videos. I notice a short in which people in a magazine cut them self out (3d object motion) and then run around the room(video). Thanks, Great Site.
Hi and thank you. I have few projects I am working on at the moment which require use of 3d and Apple Motion.
