“sky replacement” tutorial coming soon

Sky Replacement Video Tutorial
Available soon….

sky_composition_small.jpg

In this tutorial you will learn how to use compositing techniques enabling you to use an image and turn it into a interesting animation.

You will learn how to use particles, colour correction, masking, Bad TV filter, paint tool and much more.

I know that I owe you people so many tutorials by now. This animation was created because of my students (yes they are quite needy bunch). They wanted me to show them how to composite an image with a little bit of the video so that the final composition can be quite complex animation. The techniques used here are not complicated at all, a person who have used Apple Motion a few times will be able to do this quite quickly, at least this is what I think.

I like to thank few people for helping me with this animation; Big thanks goes to Armando Guerra www.theislander.org/islander, who have patiently recorded the passing clouds somewhere in the beautiful Cuba. Also big thank you to Luc Stroobandt for giving me the idea to do this animation, and in the end a big thank you to my students Luca and Arvis for being there for me with a fantastic digital camera. Luca you are and you always will be my Muse…….sort of……:-)

Looking forward to this. I wish my prof’s would actually teach something instead of video theory all day. Cheers!

Thanks Benson, maybe you need to show my site to your lecturer and tell him to to show you few things in Apple Motion, or After Effects. I am sorry he is not one of those people who will spend time teaching you some skills which will help you find work. That is, and always have been, my prerogative. I want to stress out that there is nothing wrong with theory, just not all the time, a good combination of both would be perfect.

Hi Derek, thanks for your constant comments, I think this is what we need here, more people commenting being this good or bad comment, knowing what is wrong is sometime better than knowing what is right. At least you would know what to improve.
