This is good technique for those of you wanting to create frame blending or morphing effect in Apple Motion 3. In this tutorial I use Optical Flow and Time Remapping…

I am very pleased with the outcome of this technique. This can be used for all kind of animations. This tutorial was prompted by one of my students who wanted to know how was this achieved in After Effects. This in turn has prompted me to explore this possibility in Apple Motion 3. I did not have to look very hard to realise that this is in fact vey possible to do and above all it was very easy.

For this I have used Adobe Photoshop to export the images as a individual frames, then I have used Optical Flow to frame blend the animation. When the animation was  as a  movie I have then used Time Remap to hold the frame.

Please forgive me at one point in the movie I am refereeing to a frame as a second. Please do not be confused, it is a frame I am talking about, what can I say It has been a long day.
