“Solar Ring” video tutorial part 1
Solar Ring Video Tutorial
Part One Available Now…
I have managed to create first part of the Solar Ring Tutorial ; (setting up stage, using particles, behaviors, filters, and colour correction).
This animation has taken me a very long time to complete as I wanted to invent completely new technique. What I wanted to do is give you something completely new and fresh.
I have been testing lots of different combination of effects and behaviors to come up with something which is I think visually very pretty.
While working on this I used few different filters and techniques, I have used yet again Noise Industries Filters which I believe are outstanding.
Also I have used clone, behaviors, different blur filters and colour correction filters. I have to extend my thanks to Bittabox and their generosity in giving beautiful textures that I have used as a background drop.

Hi Zak,
I finally got around to looking at this tutorial – it’s great! Not only did it add to my general understanding what you can do with particles in Motion, but I was struggling for an effect in a video I am putting together and, with a few different filters and color modes applied, this will be perfect. Hopefully it will be ready by Christmas – unfortunately I have a “real” job so I don’t have as much tome to work on this as I would like.
HI Back,
I am glad you have learned few new tricks. This is why I created Embryo at the first place, to try to encourage people to use Apple Motion. Stay well and come back soon.
Excellent tutorial… thank you very much… gave me some great ideas as well. Please send a link for part 2 of this tutorial.
I have not completed the part two as I have lots to do. I can however post a original file so that you can see how I did if this helps. Let me know please.
This was awesome <3 Great job ^-^
It is all about exploring different possibilities within Motion. it looks cool, I agree.
