“Eclipse” Animation

Well, this is by no means a groundbreaking animation. I am merely trying to show the power of Boris Continuum 6 by making a eclipse of a planet.

This is simply one of those techniques you can not do without. I am simply showing you how to produce this effect in Apple Motion, look this has been done before in After Effects and that is cool by me. I just wanted to show you how to make this in Apple Motion.

For this I have used few Boris Continuum 6 filters. I loved working on this animation, my five told me that it remind her on HEROES. I am going along with what she said, i like HEROES too.

    Currently nowhere, I have been busy lately and did not have time to do anything new for embryo. I am hoping my schedule will be a little bit better in coming weeks.

    Hi Zak!

    Your tutorials are excellent. I’m wondering if you could do a tutorial on 2.5D light streaks. I’m wondering if Motion can produce a good light streak comparable to AE with the Trapcode 3D Stroke? Thanks much!

    Hi Scott,

    This effect is very possible to achieve in Apple Motion. I have have been working on this kind of effects and already have something that looks like this. I however will not make this effect free to view, rather it will be available for purchase from my site from next weekend. If I have time I will post an animation later on so that you can see. P.S this effect does not need any third party plugin.

    That is very good news to me that you say this type of 3D light streak can be achieved in Motion. When you say that you have already working on this kind of effect and that it will be available to purchase, do you mean that it will be a TUTORIAL on how to achieve this effect? If so, I will anxiously await until next week to purchase it! Thanks Zak.

    NOt yet. I was not in the country as it was holiday. I am currently overwhelmed with work. I hope to start working on embryo in the next few weeks.
