TV Ident “Channel 0″ Video Tutorial Available now

Apple Motion
Animation

I was so busy that I did not have any time to dedicate to making new animations. This is a simple animation using motion tracking in Apple Motion.

For the record I am definitely posting this tutorial this Friday 5.02.10. I received this brilliant footage from Artbeats, for those of you who do not know who Artbeats are, well they are largest royalty free footage website. The Humming bird footage is just beautiful. I wanted to make a TV Ident as this is something that I have been working on with my students. For this exercise I have used Motion Tracking (Point Tracker) to make this TV Ident. the idea was to make something colorful yet unique.

    Hi Zak,
I’m always checking your site and I love it when your new tutorials come out. It’s like Christmas. This one, as usual, was really laid out well, very cleanly done, and easy to follow. I liked all the use of parameter behaviors (something I now find invaluable in my amateur work), tracking, and in this one particularly, the use of filters and blend modes to make the colors of the main video jump out. Tomorrow my motion projects will better for having watched this today. Thanks to you I’m actually starting to be happy what I am producing in motion. Excellent job my friend!!!!!

By the way, what program do you use to make the video screen capture for your tutorials?

    HI Pat,
Thanks for kind comments. This was a quick tutorial but nevertheless I important one, as I cover some new techniques within motion. I also tried to use only filters available in motion. The colour correction, blend modes and filters can give you amazing visual effect. I am glad to see you back at embryo.
