about me
My name is Zak Peric. I am a freelance artist and lecturer teaching for Creative Computing at Tower Hamlets College and London College of Communication. I envisaged this web site as a platform for my own personal work, as much as a platform for helping my students learn new skills. I have realised that the way people learn today has changed radically. The reason for this is very simple, the Internet as a technology and the backbone of everything that we do today has come of age.
We live fast lives and most of us do not have a lot of time to sit down and read pages and pages of software manuals. (Not that there is anything wrong with this approach – but it certainly does not suit everyone). My task is simple, to create video tutorials that can help learners learn new digital skills. I will try to focus on software which I consider important, but with the same token I will also try to create video tutorials on software that the community is interested in – so please get in touch if you cannot find what you are after on my site. I am happy to receive your comments and suggestions – though I obviously cannot guarantee I can fullfil all your wishes …. And as a last thing I am taking this opportunity to thank Prisca for taking the time to create this web site in Word Press for me. Prisca, I know that you have put a lot of effort into making this site. I am optimistic that this is the beginning of something good for all of us.
