I was so busy that I did not have any time to dedicate to making new animations. This is a simple animation using motion tracking in Apple Motion.

For the record I am definitely posting this tutorial this Friday 5.02.10. I received this brilliant footage from Artbeats, for those of you who do not know who Artbeats are, well they are largest royalty free footage website. The Humming bird footage is just beautiful. I wanted to make a TV Ident as this is something that I have been working on with my students. For this exercise I have used Motion Tracking (Point Tracker) to make this TV Ident. the idea was to make something colorful yet unique.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy new 2010. We have gone a long way this year, we have pushed some boundaries and open some new frontiers.
I want to reassure you  that I am  still as dedicated as when I started embryo almost two years ago.
Please note I  am preparing a bunch of tutorials in the background, some will be pay per download and some will be free. I am also hoping to release my first DVD product at the begging of 2010.

I just wanted to share a very valuable and interesting technique of creating Mattes from any of your animations, this can be then used for all kind of things.

In this tutorial I am going to show you how to create and render a Mattes in Apple Motion. If you do not know what are Mattes then I suggest you do a little research online. You will find that creating and knowing how to use Mattes is essential knowledge for any Motion Graphic Designer.  The option that enables you do render any colour movie is somewhat hidden. In this tutorial I show you a very cool trick that you will be using over and over again.
